UPHOLSTERY CLEANING

Upholstered furniture uses more varied materials and methods of manufacture than carpet.  One cleaning process will not work on all upholstered furniture.  Special considerations such as color fastness and dimensional stability of the fabric must be factored in as well. Here at Vic' s Carpet Dry Cleaners & Dyers, we have four different methods of cleaning your fine fabrics and return your upholstery to the vibrantly clean condition it was when you first bought it.  By keeping your upholstery clean, you extend the life of the fabric which protects the value and the integrity of the fibers and ensure that the main piece of furniture stands out.

HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS:

1. Ideally, upholstery should be vacuumed weekly and cushions turned monthly to maintain the visual appearance of the fabric.
2. Upholstery cleaning can add years of life to fine furniture by bringing back original coloring and removing dirt and harsh particles that causes fiber damage. We suggest once every 6 months to one year.

 We have gentle, effective cleaning agents for just about any material including synthetic fabrics, cotton blends, Haitian cotton, velvet, velour, and leather.

AREA RUGS & FINE ORIENTALS

 Area Rugs & Fine Orientals, are usually either knotted with pile or woven without pile by people from different cultures, and countries. Oriental Rugs are organized by origin: Persian rugs, Central Asian rugs, Antolian rugs, Caucasian rugs, Kurdish rugs, Chinese rugs, Turkestan rugs, Tibetan rugs, Braided rugs, Silks, Wool, & Domestic. Here at Vic's Carpet Dry Cleaners & Dyers we take the utmost care in cleaning whatever type of Area rugs you may have. Our methods of cleaning depends on your type of carpet.

Each rug is thoroughly inspected either in our plant or at your home.

We examine all areas of the rug including fringe & main body of the rug and also the side edges. Any spots or stains will be recorded on your work order. Any information that you can tell us about your rug will be most helpful like, how old the rug is?, does it have pet damage, or exposed to sunlight. After the inspection is complete we will give you a price for the cleaning and will proceed with your permission to clean. We do recommend that your rugs after the cleaning be protected with our Scotchgard protector. 

* PLEASE NOTE*  Natural fibre rugs will stain much quicker than synthetic fibres and these stains cannot be as easily removed from natural fibres as they can from synthetic.  Some stains will be permanent.
